Flashback Friday!! Cute Edition

Happy Friday! Well, it's gorgeous in Pittsburgh and I'm spending the day running errands with Laura. I will post my outfit tomorrow most likely, because I can't deprive you all of the cuteness that is happening in this picture to the left. Funny thing is, I can find elements of both my style, and Anna's here.

Let us examine Anna's style first: I'm pretty sure her cardigan and headband from the other day stole the idea from little fashionista me. In fact, who knew her "Just Like Libby" title would work in more ways than one?!

Now, let us blog about how similar my taste in clothing is currently - I know, it saddens me (makes me happy) in a way, too. First, I still have bangs. Er, I have bangs once again is more accurate. I think I grew my bangs out in 3rd/4th grade and then last March, had them (surprisingly) cut off again. I misunderstood my stylist when she asked if I wanted long bangs (I thought she meant a side bang which I was totally fine with - except she didn't mean that. She meant BANGS. And I cried. And was a huge mean jerk to my mom. She understood - she makes fun of me now) and here I am not wanting to part with them once again. I tried to grow them out recently, but couldn't do it and actually missed the things...weird. And oh, yes, I still do have that darn cowlick.

Also, I'm pretty sure I still live in that color combination. Obviously, I am playing dress up, but how many times have you seen me already in basic black and white? Who knew a photo could be so telling? Also, I'm kind of badass (sorry, Karen, I know you don't like me swearing...) with one glove on my right hand. So rockstar. And how scandalous would that dress have been if I weren't wearing an adorable sweatsuit underneath? Talk about a possible nip slip. (Don't worry - I'm not actually linking you to porny pictures...it would be just like a VERY low cut top).

AND, look at me pretending I'm the future Suri Cruise with my kitten heels. So hers are probably more expensive than my entire wardrobe right now and mine were most likely from KMart. Well guess what? KMart was my clothing staple when I was little and I think I looked A.DORABLE. So guess what else, Suri? My dad isn't some creepy Scientologist and my mom didn't fake her pregnancy by stuffing a beach ball up her shirt. My adorable Flashback Friday outfit and I win.

  1. Are you sure that you didn't get those shoes at Jamesway instead? Hehe.

  2. LOLs Jamesway! I very well might have, actually. Or perhaps from McCrory's. I've left a link in case you all don't know what that is. Either way, it was a McCarthy childhood staple - perhaps it was the similarity in name, but more likely the gawdy dress up outfits and kiddie pools.
